My collection of work encapsulates a childlike spirit with woodland creatures, whimsical landscapes, love and adventure. Using simplistic designs and conceptual characters gives space for others to find their own reflection and interpretations in my work. .This connection with the viewer is fundamental in keeping my world of dreams alive.
These paintings are often found on old doors, antique ceiling tiles and repurposed frames. I'm constantly on the search for interesting materials with their own nostalgic qualities. My partner Craig Smith frames up each piece with these collected materials and adds his own creative touch. Acrylics, oils and oil pastels are my go to mediums sometimes including unconventional mixed media.
I stay busy making art for art shows and galleries, along with commissioned requests from boutiques, schools and collectors wanting something personal for their homes.
When we aren't on the road traveling to art shows we are at our home in Asheville NC creating and finding quiet moments to reflect on this journey. Our Sleepy Little Dream.
